ok im trying to figure out what i will need. ideally 3-1000 true temp titanium but thats a little expensive. it will be in the basement and will be about 20 degree change from air temp to my tank water. im going to heat the 100g sump, and was wondering if there are any standout good cheap ways to do this. for example, i can buy jebo cheapo 300w heaters on ebay by the 6 pack. are these really that much worse than any other heater? its like 80 bucks for 1800w which seems cheapest to me. if i get a dozen will this be good? can i just get a small pool heater? im kinda lost as how to do this without breaking the bank

whats that? is that running pipe through my home water heater? would a plumber know how to do that or would they look at me like i have 2 heads if i asked?

we use multiple submersible 300 w heaters in the sumps of our outdoor acrylic tanks. cheap to buy and easy to replace. also we like the idea of the other heaters still working if one goes bad.

right but i will need what 10 300w heaters? how likely are they to blow or crack and zap my stock and kill everything? i dont want them to shatter and crack my sump, or electricute my fishes

I have the True temp and let me tell you it's well worth the money.

I run one true temp 1000 watt and 3 300 watt Jagers witch are glass the jagers my 675 gal tank is in my garage and it gets into the 40's and i have the tank set at 84 degrees witch it holds ..But i tell ya i am insulating this summer for sure anyway brich the 1 thousand true temp and a 300 watt jager should cover ya the jager is rated at 265 gal.Oh and the heaters are in two 75 gal sumps....

cool thanks, i also dont have experience with acrylic which i know insulates more than glass, but i have 3-300 on a 6 ft long 100g tank and without them it wont hold steady temp. thanks for all the input, maybe just 2 800 or 1000w then
