my heater just broke in half inside my tank and some yellowish looking fluid came out. is this gonna be bad?

Remove the broken heater! syphon any broken left over pieces of glass/mess etc out,do a small water change,buy/replace heater with a brand new one SOON! All should be good.

i bought a new heater when i noticed it stopped working. as i was taking it out, it broke in half. i did the water change and there was no glass to be found. hopefully i'll be ok. i just wanted to know if my water is gonna be contaminated.
Odd, I don't know what kind of liquid would be inside a heater, but then again I'm not overly technically minded =/
idk. it could have just been water that got in there when it broke. none of my fish seem bothered, so hopefully nothing will happen.
