heater burned ray

I wanted to know if a 10" henlei will heal from a bad heater burn on its back? its about a 5" by 1/2" burn . this is not my ray . i was trying to buy it before , now the person selling it showed me a video ;its eating fine but im worried about infection and passing anything onto my group of healthy rays. please pm me . its burned so bad you cant see the white spots on that side. seems fine other than that.

It might scar but will heal. Infection is a possible issue, wouldn't recommend shipping until its healed. Best bet would be to tell the owner you'll take it once its had some time to heal.

yer they normaly recover well from burns but ive only seen it on my one big male underside and never bothered him was one of the big bass took out the heater grill and the ray must of gone over it

but yer dont ship till healed as would add stress and infection would then be a problem

I would wait to make sure it will be alright, it would be a shame to buy it and then have it pass. this is why I like having my heaters in my sump

Best not to stress it further by transferring it. Give it some time to heal.
