Heater Controller Question

So I need to get heater controllers on some of my tanks for various reasons. My question is can you use two heaters on one controller? I have two heaters on my 150 and I am a bit confused about it. This may be a dumb question but could you use an adapter in the controller to be able to plug in two cords?

Just plug a power strip into the controller then plug in heaters onto the power strips. You can plug in as many heaters as the controller is rated for. Example: If its a 900w controller, you can plug in 3 X 300w heaters
