would two 250 watt heaters be good for my 130 gal? the heater is rated for 90 gal plus and i would thing that two of em would heat my 130 gal perfectly. am i right?

I'd go with two 300 watts. Around here 150, 200, 250 and 300 watt heaters are all the same price, so might as well go with two 300 watts.

alright... all i can find was 250 watt at my petsmart closest to me. will have to look at other stores.

One 250w would be fine. What is the coldest the temp gets in the room the tank is in? You still running all those filters?

I run a single 250w heater in the sump of my 450g. Tank is maintained at 80 degrees. The only time I have seen the heater even come on is right after water changes.

im in the process in setting this tank up again. filtration will be 30 gal sump and sun sun canister filter. my house is a constant 72 degrees, gets a bit colder at night.

Using two heaters is always a good idea. Just in case one fails.

2x 250W should be fine. I'm using 2x aqueon 250s on my 240 gallon and 2x rena 300s on my 150. Plus summer is almost here, last summer i unplugged my heaters and my water always stayed around 85-87 F.

alright, ill just go with dual 250's

I had been running two 300 watt Hydor ETH in line heaters on my 120g. I had one set considerably lower in temp than the other so I decided to just remove it and found that I had basically been running my tank on one the whole time. On my new 210g I will set up both heaters again and I'm sure they will both be needed for the larger tank.
