You could also just make one. All you need is pvc pipe, endcaps and a drill.

Pretty much. And it prevents Plecos from sucking on it and damaging their mouths and stomach from it.

The Tronic heater guards work well. I use them on several tanks with my Ebo Jager heaters.

I don't think the tronic guards are available in the U.S. for anything other than a 50W heater.
