Heater help

I've already got 2 200 watt heaters in it, but they aren't doing the job. I think it loses alot of heat because it has an open top.
Add another heater to it and see if it helps. It takes a LOT more heat to keep an open tank up to temperature. If I remember correctly, I was using at least 3 time the normal heater to keep mine warm in my basement. I would suggest getting tops for the tank. Save a lot of energy and cuts down the humidity.
well the thing is, I dont want a top, because you can view the fish from above which is kind of the point of this tank.

Just get a sheet of glass or acrylic. You can still see through it.
Your only other choice is to add more heat until it comes to the temp that you want.

Nice tank...The Stealth heater package selection guide says " 250 watt up to 75 gal. That is to raise the water temp 18deg F above ambient temp." so 2 stealth 250's should handle it. Hope that helps.
