i have a 240 gallon tank 8'x2'x2' and it is currently in the process of cycling. i have a jebo 300 watt heater on my 60 that im going to tranfers over to the 240 and im going to buy another jebo so i can have 600 watts of heat. later on i plan on buying some better heaters, in your opinon what would you run on a 240 gallon? how about some ebo jager? i also need some help on how to sync the to heaters together. if someone knows alot about this and could help
then thanks alot!

all depends on how warm/cold the area you keep your tank is as well as how insulated the tank is...

if your tank is indoors (70 degrees+/-) and you have lids or a canopy on the tank then 600w should be more than fine...

if the tank is on your patio/garage/outside and its not insulated or covered then you may want to step it up a bit...

the fully insulated and covered 200 gallon pond i have on my patio durring the winter the water has yet to get below 76 degrees... it only has a 300w heater in it.... the 60 gallon tank that sits next to it (slightly insulated slightly covered) also has a 300w heater in it and the temp drops to 72 degrees or lower at night depending on wind..

the 100 gallon tank in my livingroom stays at 80 degrees with a 200w heater
the 60 gallon tank under it with no heater stays at about 60 with no heater.. i keep the livingroom at or above 68...

i want the temp at 80-83
i keep the 240 in my garage room, it gets really cold in there, just like outside. i have lids on the top right now but i dont have a canopy. i also have a diy sump, with no top on. my 60 gallon is inside of my house but my house also gets as cold as outside lol, 300 watt and it stays at 80-82 fine
do you think 2 300 jebo's would do it?

I would run 3 titanium heaters with a separate controller. This would sync your heaters like you mentioned earlier. The ones I use are just standard 500w titanium heaters with no temp control, they simply plug in and MUST have a separate controller. The controller I use is awesome. It has a surge protector coming out of it, and I plug the heaters into that. It has a seperate temperature probe that goes into the tank. I set the controller to whatever temp. I want, and when it reaches that temp it cuts power to the surge protector. When the temp. falls below the set temp, it kicks them back on untill it reaches temp. again. Sounds like something you might want to do. Im running a 350g on 1500w of heater, so you could probably get away with 2 500w or 3 300w.
