Heater: How many watts do I need?

Hi Everyone. I'm Setting up a 300 gallon tank soon. How many watts should my heater be. The tank will be in a basement with room temp avg of 70-74F. I plan on the temp of the tank being 80-82F. thanks in advance

I would say you can't go wrong with (2) 300 watt heaters. Better than relying on one just incase one craps out you won't be running with no heat at all
