The heater for my 55g tank won't turn off. I turned the knob all the way down and it stays on. I unplugged it for an hour and put it back in the tank and it still doesn't turn off. Replace? Or is it ok to use for the rest of winter

It keeps the tank at 78 degrees but doesn't shut off. So it's not making it to hot but I'm worried something happening from it not shutting off.
Sounds like its still working, but the light is just stuck in the "ON" position....even when the heater is off. If you want to keep using it and still have some peace-of-mind, just hook it up to this
