my heater is staying at a constant setting but my tank temperature is fluctuating between 72 and 78 deg. F and sometimes up to 82. my house temperature is also staying at a constant 70. my fish virtually dont seem to mind. this seems unhealthy to me, is this something to be concerned about?

it is unhealthy to have the temp fluctuating so much in a short period. i would see about getting a replacement heater under the guarantee, if its still in the period. if that doesnt work then change to a reliable brand.

it is an aquaculture heater on a 10gal, the heater is pretty old looks like i should invest in a new one thanks guys
