Heater question....

Just got a 75 gallon tank. Can anyone give me ideas on good heaters? It will have some large cichlids in it, so it needs to be a sturdy one, LOL

I would like to jump in on this one too... I have a 125G and I had 2 300W heaters and one just STB.

I also have cichlids, africans and would like to know what you Guys/ Gals think is the best heater on the market?

Also, what is a heater controller...? I have heard people talk about it but... I am not sure how they are using them....

Marineland visi therm stealth. I have 6 never a problem. Sometimes it takes a little while to calibrate but they are sturdy and surprisingly cheap Drfostersmith has a sale on them right now too.

I like Ebo (Eheim) Jagers with a heater guard. I prefer the fac that they have an indicator light. the stealths don't (at least not yet)

The pro's do. Same price basically with a clicking definite temp dial. Cant go wrong. I got a few ebo jags as backups (I bought the stealths first pretty much all at once to replace my crap glass heaters) Then I got some ebo's as a backup I used a 200 watter for a day to run on my 90 then I swapped it out for a stealth.
