If I'm heating a 130g aquarium (2-3 inches taller than a standard, modern 125) in a room that stays a steady 70F during summer and drops 10-15 degrees in winter... how many watts per gallon am I looking at? I'm guessing a 300W heater won't cut it.

Could I use a 300W heater in conjunction with a smaller heater? Or two 300W heaters?

I've always used 4 watts / gallon but I usally keep my tanks at 77F, a few degrees above room temp (73 to 76).

I would get two 300 watt.

2- 300w heaters...in big tanks use 2 in case one malfunctions.
