I am setting up 150 gallon tank. I prefer to use two heaters one on each end of tank. In the winter time I lower the heat to 63 at night time when sleeping.Need input on total wattage needed to heat the tank. Thanks.

I have 2 400 watt heaters on my 150. You could get away with less. I don't think I would use less than 600 total watts for the heaters.

this. i have 4 300WATT heaters on my 500gallon pond keeps it to a steady 75F

450 watts or so total. i would buy 1 250 watt and 1 200 watt. put each heater on the either end.

The rule of thumb is 3 watts per gallon.....I normally stick two heaters each of my big tanks, big being 125-180.....125, I use two 150watt heaters.....180, I use two 250watt heaters.........
