heater reviews?

ok, i found these hydor heaters.. and i kinda like the price, but i need to know if anyone has used them or knows anything about them.

i tried to look for the threads that i saw about heaters exploding, and another one that was asking about a certain type of heater, but i couldn't find them.

heater exploding...I think you are refering to the marine land stealth heaters. I had one of those, i contacted marineland once I heard about it. They said it was a defected bunch so i shipped mine out and got a brand new for a total of $0. Seems to be fine now and im pretty happy with it...
I dont know about that type of heater

I have two 300w Hydor Theo's. Neither seems accurate but the one that have in a tank now is in a 55G so I may be overkill. I keep it at its lowest setting but the tank still hovers about 4 degrees higher. Other than that no problems what so ever. Never experienced any temp drops or super high temps. Check your local Petsmart. I managed to catch a 400w for my 90g on clearance for 10 bucks. When I emailed them about the 300w heaters they were happy to replace them I just had to send them the old ones. Didn't take them up on that offer because I would have still had to buy a new heater.

Your dog makes me miss my Clyde he looked just like him.

that is my Otis, he's 15 now and i don't think he's going to be with me much longer. he has more and more trouble walking every day and spends a lot of time stretching.. like he's trying to get his legs to do what he wants them to do. seems like his hiney butt is getting smaller and his chest is getting bigger too.. so there is probably something else at work there..
