Heater Sizes?!?!? HELP

Can anyone give me a clue as to how many heaters to use in a 1100L tank please. Searched the web and I'm getting so many conflicting answers my head hurts. Everything from 5w per gallon (which works out at ^1500w) to 100w per foot (800w). Thought I'd throw it out to other big tank keepers and see what you use, please help.

What temp is the room the tank is in? Is that room heated? Unheated? What temp do you want to maintain?

Tank will be going in my living room which is heated and runs at a fairly constant 20c. Will be maintaining the tank at 25c. The heaters will be going in the sump.
