Heater!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
3 smaller for reliability. If one breaks you still have 2 others working, and gives you better control over temperature. I would recommend a heater control as well to be completely worry free about that

3 small vs 1 big. what happens if the big one goes down? no heat. If 1 300w breaks you still have 2 putting out some heat. also, thermostat control for them, you'll thank yourself in the long run.

Three 300W heaters with a Ranco or InkBird controller. As others have mentioned, if one of the 300's cuts out, you will still have two running. Also, if one gets stuck on, you will only have 300W stuck on instead of 1000W (this is mitigated by using a controller though).

3...........with controller(s)

I agree with 3, but my bias is that when my heaters have failed, at least 60% (or more) failed in the "on" position, and had a tendency to cook fish. So my reasoning is, if one fails in the "on" position, they others will hopefully turn "off".
If a 1000 watt fails, you definitely have cooked fish.
The I agree the controller is a high priority, and extra added insurance against cooked fish.
In most cases a little cooling is not as lethal as uncontrolled heating.

Do u guy have the band of the controller that u used or would recommend? Thank

Most use the Ranco. I use the InkBird 308 and it's been working great for me for the past few months but I haven't been running it long term yet. I got it because it's cheaper and the guys over on SimplyDiscus raved about them.

I've been using multiple Finnex controllers for the past few years, no issues thus far. Its cheap and a simple plug-and-play design
