the wet dry im planning to build is gonig to be made with rubbermaid storage containers

my question is can i safely put my 2 300 watt heaters in their without them melting the plastic??

i thought about lining the bottom with egg crate but im not sure if this will melt it over time?

:1zhelp:

the only way iy would work is to suspend them in the tub so its not touching the sides or bottom id sugest using those inline heaters

ive seen those inline heaters, but the diameeter of my tubing is gonig to be 1 1/4 dia

and the inlines are 3/4

plus im not willing to spend more money on something i already have

Take a piece of plate glass, lean it or silicone seal it against the inside of the plastic bin or just lay the glass on the bottom of the bin and attach your submersible heaters to the glass with the accompanying suction cups.

oh i really like that idea oddball :clap

so can i get this glass at home depot right?

Home depot, dollar store, wal-mart...whatever. The cheapest glass would be from a 99 cent picture frame from a dollar store. Throw away the frame and you still have an 8 x 10 piece of 1/8" glass for less than buying replacement glass at home depot.
