I am currently using a 300w Ebo Jager in my 240 gallon's sump and it keeps that tank at 82, but I have another 300w EJ in my 280 turned all the way up and it is sitting at 70 degrees. Thinking of adding another 300W EJ and placing them BOTH in sump of 280. Do you think this will do the trick or are there any other suggestions for heating my 280?

I would replace the one that will only hold 70. SOunds like the thermostat is bad. I use a 500W in the sump for my 240.

^ +2 I have a 300 in my 220 @ 79F with no problem.... 70 sounds like room temperature to me... Sounds like the heater is not working at all...

That's what I was wondering. I am also adding a heat/cool window unit to garage that will keep room at 82 degrees, but we still are unpacking and garage is a mess for now. Gonna google that 500w now...
