Hey guys,

Just wanted your input on heaters. What do you recommend? Which are the best heaters in your opinion. Price does not matter. I'm more concerned with reliability and durability. What has worked for you in the past. Thanks

I only use Ebo-Jager heaters. Always worked for me, It's automatic, submersible, and it has a thicker glass than most heaters. Oh yeah, i also like the way it looks. :D

A heavy duty electronic temperature controller (the kind people use to control chillers) such as a "Medusa" with a titanium heater plugged into it, is the most reliable way to heat a tank period. Thermostats that come with or inside heaters are cheap and crappy, best thrown in the trash before they quit, or stick and cook your stock. My 2 cents.

i use an all glass aquarium heater and its been working fine for me

Do you have a source for them? Maybe a web site?

I've had excellent success with the via-aqua titanium tube heaters with an external thermostat. They're affordable, and I monitor their accuracy with a wireless temp probe and they've never been off by more than 0.7 degree or so, and I've been using the same ones for 4+ years.
