So I'm looking to setup 6-20gallon tanks(already got the tanks) in my basement. They need cheap reliable heaters, are their any you can recommend, anything nice and hands off like those fish tank heat pads for 10 gallon tanks? The tanks are gonna be sponge filtered by Hydro Vs.

Thanks for your help.

I'd suggest plumbing them all to a sump and have the sump heated, but I'm pretty sure you can find cheap ones at Petco/Petsmart or on Craigslist.

60-80, if they make them. 100 works like a charm.

Jebo heaters are good, as long as they're not completely submerged (even though they call themselves "Submersible Heaters"). Just leave the top plastic part out of the water, only put the glass part in the water, otherwise water gets into the glass tube and starts rusting the metals coils inside the glass, and it ultimately fails.

Check out Walmart.

check out kensfish.com they have good prices on heaters.

I've looked at retail and they don't really offer well priced or decent brands at the wattage I require.

Any brands to avoid?

VIA AQUA
Deep Blue
HAGEN ELITE
CASCADE

all have heaters I could afford, but I don't know if they are reliable.
