Hi i was wondering how many heaters i would need to heat a 1020L. Also have a 350L Sump.

i would say 3 300watt heaters

would that be to much strain i had lots of blown heaters would 6 150 be the same effect?

To 300 waters could do it but three would be better.

2 x 300w eheim jagers will do the job.

Everyone alway will just blurt out answer but no one says why. I heat my 450g tank with single 300 watt heater, but that's my set up. What in the average temp the room gets to that you have the tank in? What is the coldest temp that room gets to for an extended period of time?

I would have to research that because i have no idea. i know will get pritty cold in the winter.

6 would be even better because they would be space out more.

I have a 3D background made of polystyrene would that mealt if the heater was against it?
