Where is your heater? Ie tank sump don't use one? And what is a good rule of thumb for heating a tank? Looking at getting two 300 watt heaters for my sump for my 200 gallon 6 time turn over

3-5 watts per gallon general rule but depends on how much of a change u need from ambient, how well the tank is insulated, and stuff like that. I'm switching over to hydra ETH inline heaters, but I don't have a sump to hide heaters in. 600w of heaters should be ok, if you notice you cant get to the temp you want just add another

I don't know don't have em yet but after I bought em I thought the same, in theory it wont be much since they'd heat the water fast and shut off if I had just say a 300 watt it'd stay on longer
