helo i am after info on heating a large polywwod tank 14x5x6 ithave thought of installing a combi boiler just for the purpose of heating the tank info on thermostat and how to setup to control heat and thoughts in general of what may work would be appreciated

You should use styrofoam if your planning on using pond liner to cover the plywood. What i did was cover i covered the plywood with styrofoam sheets to keep the heat in.
i will use 18mm harwood ply fibreglass and then epoxy over for the tank itself. Just heatin im stuck with
Try celotex or kingspan... the very thick stuff. 50mm thick shoudl insulate it and get like a 3 or 3 kw pond heater as long as youve got goodinsulation your leccy shouldnt be too bad
