Hi, so I have just set up my 100gal and filled it about 75% with water. I've added a heater and a filter from an established tank. The temp is at about 50F
Roughly how long do you think it will take to reach ~75F.

The heater is 250watt.

I want to move my oscars in already lol

i'm not sure i understand why you did no fill it completely up and adjust the temp closer to where you actually want it to be? why did you just take the temp to 50 and not 75? i'm probably missing something and not trying to challenge you for the sake of argument.

I want to use water from my 55gal. I filled the tank with a hose so I was not able to regulate the water temp. Like I just filled the tank 3 or 4 hours ago.

gotcha!

why dont you do the remaining 25 gallons with a bucket from the sink... add warm water or you will be waiting 24-48 hours for your heater to get the water warmed up..

a few trips to the kitchen and having your tank up and running by bedtime vs waiting for a few days by which time the BB in your filters will be dying and you will end up minicycling the tank...
