Going back into my pond project after being gone for a while.... tried to heat my 600g pool before with 680 watts and it just wasn't working, at all. No temperature rise whatsoever. So after some more research I decided I'm going to build a pond from scratch and insulate the heck out of it, and hope it works.

Will these be able to do the job properly this time? And how many would I need?

Thinking maybe two 300w, and one 200w?

This is my first time with in-line heaters, where should they be hooked up and are there any things I need to take into consideration?

that alittle expensive if u have a 600gallon pond just gets normal heaters they cheaper but you need three of them or 4

600 g \=/ 680 watts. Rule of thumb for heating 2watt for every gallon and I add another 100watt for outdoors. 1,200=600G + 100 to compete with the outdoor temps 1,300. That's why It didn't work, not trying to be an ass, but this is exactly what i did with my pond.

I tried this and it didn't heat AT ALL. :/ I even tried it on a smaller volume of water.

Why not go with 3 300w heaters. But I think you have to make something to cover the top.

Not sure if this would help or not. But is an idea I have been thinking about for a central water system. I may as well get your opinions on it too.

Using the heater and controls from a hot tub inline? What do you guys think about this idea? I have seen used hottubs forsale for a few hundred bucks and know it costs between 100 to 135 to replace the heating element.

Just a thought I have been wondering about
