what brand and model/ how many heaters do I need

you going have to use three of any brand but its got to be 300 watt tho

im using jebo right now three of them tho on my 240 i keep it in my sump

2-300watt heaters will be sufficient if there isn't a major difference in outside temp of the room and tank. Visi-Therm makes a 300watt heater. Ebo Jagers 250 watts will be good along with 1 more 50 or 75watt heater

JEHMCO.com . Item# TSHTCE-500. 500 watt titanium heater with ETCI controller. $101.00. I love these heaters. Super quality controllers won't crap out on you like the cheaper ones do. One of these units is all you'll ever need.

Or, if you have canister filters, you could go with in-line heaters.
Otherwise, i'd go with the titanium in the sump.

what do you use these on and what kinda warranty do they have.

I have these heaters on 2- 75gal., 2-125gal.(soon to be 3-125gal.) a 180gal., and a 240 gal. I've never even considered the warranty since they are so reliable. I don't know for sure. All I know is I've never had a problem with one after several years.

ok thats good to hear. I might get a nice heating system.

You first have to plug in some variables before you just say what kind of wattage is required.

Is the tank glass or acrylic? Acrylic insulates WAY better than glass.
What is the room temp on average?
What temp do you wish to maintain?
