Heaters add heat. If it's too small for your tank, it will just stay on all the time and you might not come up to the desired temperature, but it will help.
thats what i mean i know it wont heat to full temperature but i was just hoping itll atleast ad +10 or +7. without burning out do you think itll burn out?. heres what i did i added hotwater so the water is allready warm and cranked the heater all the way up, so it wont have to do any work i know the temp will go down but maybe it'll hold it at a sertain temp what do you guys think.
No one will be able to tell you the exact temperature you will reach. You just have to try it. You will decrease the life of the heater significantly since it'll be on constantly, but if you have no other option, then I guess thats' what you have to do.
depends on your situation, if you live in a warm climate maybe the water is generally supposed to be 10' lower than the surrounding temp. so if your in an area thats typically 80' your fine. however if you live in a cold area and the house is set around 70' or so i'd say get a bigger heater.
um spotted and bumble bee puffer fish and whatever else my girlfriend wants its her tank, and i do have a heater for 60 gallon and its on my 140 gallon and it does good on that tank. i just hope this 30g heater deos the same on the 55g
