For those of you with a fish/animal room, do you use individual heaters on each tank or do you heat the room? I keep reptiles too so I heat the room (usually between 78-80F) and supplement where needed (turtles you know I'm talking about you).

I personally heat setups individually. Not all my fish are from the same region... same goes for reptiles. Also... beyond 75 F I start feeling pretty uncomfortable anyways.

Cool. Most of my stuff has pretty similar requirements so its just redundant to heat each tank for me. Everything is monitored closely though with multiple thermometers for each tank. As far as the heat and I its a love affair. :) I lived in Thailand for a while when I was a kid, did some time in Honduras, and lived for over a year in Iraq hence the affinity.

I would say depends on how many tanks.. The real question is which setup is more energy efficient. If u have lots of tanks heat the room

I own a fishroom in the garage........I individually heat eahc tank with the proper amount of heater wattage.............Use Jebo-Jager heaters, I have been using this brand for almost 25 years..................Very strong and reliable..............

well heating the entire room would be tons of $$$ out of ur pocket i'd stick with heating individual tanks
