So i was thinking like 4 of these for heating my tank http://www.aquatraders.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=163 anyone have any better ideas?? The tank is 518 gallons i believe, roughly 7 feet by 3.5 feet, and 3 feet deep

im sure that would work unless your house is very cold. be careful though, hot metal+ stupid fish = ouch
true they will probably go into my sump and the ones in the tank would be covered, my house doesn't get to cold but if i put insulation in my hood would that help??? i'm talkin the styrofoam stuff. the glass is 3/4 inch thick i believe if that helps for insulation for the tank
