I found this in another thread and would really like to try my hand at it but I am unsure of how to heat up large pieces. I don't have any enormous pots to boil it in. Is there a way to rig your oven up? I'd rather not have to go buy a heat gun or anything right now. Any tips?

Wow I'll have to try that also.
If you have gas turkey fryer it would work great for the heat source.

Those work.

A "flame thrower" that hooks up to a propane bottle for melting ice works well since it spreads the heat, and I have heard a propane BBQ can be used.

I've used an electric blanket that is made especially for heating PVC prior to bending. I imagine you could get it from a rental place. Made by Greenlee. Its used for bending PVC conduit. Torches and heat guns work but you can scorch or even burn the pipe and it looks like c#$p!

Thats what you need to do a good job... Good luck!

pick up a $20 heatgun from harbor freight and save yourself the fustration of trying to save $20..

Normally thats exactly what I would do but right now $20 is a big deal. My employment/income is not what you would call stable.
