has anyone ever heard of the heating pads for under the tank? I was told this is out there but cant seem to find it anywhere? Anyone know if this is true and where to find them????

ahh see thats what I mean I want to use them on my 240 under the tank to have a low profile look plus witht the monsters they are always smashing everything up even the stealth heaters are no good for me so 1- would those reptile heaters work for my size tank and 2- theres no way to cut the heat off so does this mean they just constanly run and go high in heat or do they stay at a steady range?

hym this is going to be fun I feel crazy already! well thankyou but hopefully someone knows where these are just for fish that have controls I mean I heard of them doesnt mean they exist

so this would plug into the wall like atimer for my lights and the heater would get plugged in to the control to shut off and go on? Maybe this would just work.

I wouldn't recommend it. First off, heating pads can have a hot spot that can crack a tank. I've had that happen on glass tanks I was using for reptiles, I wouldn't even want to think of what would happen if that occured in a tank full of water. Secondly, if one burnt out or quit working, how would you change it? A better method would be heaters in a sump or under-substrate heating cable.

yes I thaught of the sump but i'm do not use that I have 2 fx5 filters I was maybe wondering if i could use an inline heater maybe make a splice in my lines and then reconnect them
