So I have this new tank and in my attempts to get it inside my house, I have realized its freekin heavy. What methods do you suggest to easilymove it, short of getting ten people.

whoa, how big is this thing? is it glass or acrylic? don't imagine it should be too heavy

use a dolly.. so you can push it on level ground and rest when you cant lift anymore.
get strong buddies. weak ones should be replaced ! Free beer is a good incentive.

Either use a 2 wheeled dolly or put a tarp of some sort down an push or drag it when you cant lift it anymore

Get something that u can lay it on with wheels that can move easy on carpet or whatever u got. how big of a tank. I lifted a 100g with the owner of the LFS who delivered it and it was an ok weight. Like RTF said get a few strong buddies.

It looks like my 135gal.... just takes 2 of us.... we both weight around 260 and it's not bad..... wouldn't want to go up 2 or 3 fights of stairs with it :grinno:

1/2 inch (1.3cm) seems a bit thick for glass of a tank...Then again, whoever built it prbably meant to use thick glass to eliminate the need for a centre panel

Definately stairs are tricky. My buddy allan and I just brought in my new150 g and we staioned saw horses along the way to rest it on; wasn't bad until the 4 steps. He went first, going backwards and the tops of his shoes kept catching the bottom of the stair and if it were'nt for the rail he would have toppled. I suggested before hand tha we set up planks adn/or plywood and simply winch it up from a post braced crosswise inside the front door but he did'nt want to lift it from the ground, can't blame him there.
