I just bought a heckelii fish I have it in my hospital tank. I just started to see a his back lower fin not his tail fin. Has a white on it like the outline of the fin. Could that be a fungas or is that normal for this fish thanks guys

I think my juvie Heckelii show white trimming , depends on their mood. Looks OK from the pic but if you notice any fuzzy cotton appearance that would be a fungus.

Personally I would go with Geophagus species(aka) eartheater, Angels, Severums. Oscar might be to aggressive.
