need help for ammonia issues tank is cycled only 2 fish in it i have added remover and done water changes and added extra oxygenation soo i dont know what to do help me

Ok U say its cycled, how? The point of a cycled aquarium is because it can convert ammonia into nitrite and nitrate. How long has the tank been running? Water parameters? Need more info for now just do water changes.

Just don't know how a cycled tank has ammonia, kinda an oxymoron. Lose power, add fish, over feed... Only reasons for ammonia in an established tank I can think of. I'm guessing if u know u have ammonia u have tested, what were the parameters? Size of the tank and what 2 fish are in it?

its a 55 with a baby dovvi i just put in to grow him out. senegal has been in there for months ammonia reading has finally sttled down to 'safe' which is below.02 ppm but fish still gasping. i've added a 40 gallon pump to go with the 60 gallon one i have in it plus a 7 inch air bubble wall.
