hey forum!

you havve all helped me with my discus so often that im hoping you can solve my plant problem. i have had this planted tank going for a while with very little luck. water is hard, temp 86, co2 fert, soil & florite substrate, lots of light, and liquid fert. (oh and lots of wcs :( ......discus(adults now)
my plants are finally growing really well but not tall. swords and lotus both maintain under 5"..... many juv leaves, but no upward movement. has any one experienced this before?am i missing a nutrient some where?

thanks for the help!!
jt

what size tank? what type of lighting and how much? co2 fert, does that mean Excel? swords are heavy root feeders, so you may want to try some type of root tabs to provide nutrients

lighting= 4 t5, rose tint and 6k (6months old)
70 gal t
figured the soil and florite would provide enough root nutrients
co2 fert is a co2 canister fed into a powerhead where it is auto distributed w/ a rotating head.

sounds like you have almost everything covered. but flourite will not provide enough for swords. try some of the Flourish root tabs, im sure it will help your plants a lot

What Kelvin rating is the "rose tinted" light? Are these juvenile leaves growing normally, just small, or are they growing curled and darker?
