Why is it that the county I live in only makes the news when tradgedy strikes? This helicoper crash happened about 9:00 pm about 3/4 mile from my home. The helicoper is believed to have hit a house before crash landing about 1000 ft into Bass Lake (Information from one of the property owners in front of where the crash happened.) Another neighbor is helping out by allowing rescue divers to use his pontoon boat as a dive platform. So far there is 1 confirmed dead and 3 believed to be missing. There are nine rescue divers in the water and nine waiting to relieve them. The News stations have their helicopters out using the lights to help look for the crash sight and other victims. All of the neighboring towns have there rescue divers on scene as well as the Indiana DNR rescue divers.
