Hi everyone.

Im shopping for thermostats to hook up to a heat panel. I already have one I bought from LLL reptile. It was only 35$ and seems to work just fine. What is the benefit of a helix control system that is MUCH more money? Don't they work the same? I am under the assumption that if it has 1 probe it can only control 1 enclosure.

Also, I have 2 cages that im looking at for my milk snake. Both are from boa master.
option #1) PVC 30(wide)x 18(deep) x12(high)
option #2) Melamine 30x16x12 ..this one is 30 bucks cheaper. you think the 2 inches matters much? it's a male Pueblan Milksnake. I call him 1%.

Good choice on boamaster, I love the 3 foot that I have Darwin in right now.

The helix are just more precise and better made. I use a Herpstat 2 and its a pricey stat but well worth it , 2 probes. multy temp control, night drop, timer and more.

One Helix can control multiple cages, and paying anything less than $100 on a Thermostat is asking for trouble.....Just because something works the "same", doesn't amount to a whole lot.......Anything Melamine sucks and should be avoided - It's outdated and the PVC cages on the market are vastly superior in all aspects........
