My boyfriend and I bought our first tank mid last year. We've been hooked on aquariums and learning as much as we can ever since.

We have two tanks, one 120g (semi-aggressive) with 2 senegal poly, 1 delhizi, 6 clown loaches, 1 dwarf gourami & 1 BGK. We would like an endlicheri endlicheri, as well as an endlicheri congicus someday. In a couple years we'd like to build a plywood 500g or 800g tank to house an arowana.

Our second tank is a 36g bowfront we're currently using for breeding mollies. When the polys are bigger they will become feeders. We would like to turn this tank into a semi/fully planted aquarium, so any good pointers on aquascaping, lighting, maintenance, etc. would be great!

I'm excited to learn, see some awesome tanks, and meet some cool people!

Cheers! :D

btw does anyone know if you can upload videos to your profile? I've got some fun vids of feeding time!

No not to your profile. Upload the video to youtube and post a link in a post!

By the way, you guys are awesome. How I wish my girl was into fish like me :D

Ahhh that makes sense! Thanks dude!

And yeah we have fun with it (; it's been quite a learning experience seeing as we started with little to no experience/knowledge, but it's definitely strengthened our relationship! It's like having children…. disposable children LMAO!

I never thought of it like that! haha
I was able to get my lady to enjoy the hobby with me but its more my thing then hers. We started about 8 months ago, give or take. African Cichlids are my thing :)

Those are some cool lookin fish you got there. where are they from?

Thanks man! All of our fish we purchased at the local PetSmart for pretty cheap, except for the delhezi poly - we got him at a specialty store called 'World of Fish'. Now that we're looking to expand our poly collection, we've started looking online because World of Fish usually only has delhezis, senegals & albinos. We'd liked to get an endlicheri endlicheri, endlicheri cognicus, and teugelsi. We've found some pretty reliable sellers through eBay that we're considering.

We live in Minnesota and this winter has been especially brutal. Temperatures have been averaging below zero (not to mention subzero wind chills), so we haven't been able to order anything yet because being exposed to anything below 35 degrees isn't good for the fish. So hopefully in a couple weeks or at least by the end of March we'll have some new polys to show off :)
