Hello All,

My name is Syed, and first off let me say this site is great. I had no idea of all the possibilities there were in fish keeping. I have gotten some good ideas from this site and can't wait to put them to use.

Currently I have a 110 gal that is not set up right and a 45 gal with some African Cichlids in it. Recently I've been thinking of setting up the 110 again, but now I have an itch and want to go bigger. I have a nice spot picked out in my house that would be great for a standard 220 gal(72x24x30) or a 265 gal(84x24x30).

Ideally a 265 gal would be great but I don't see them available very often, and they are usually pricey. FYI I'm half Pakistani and I refuse to pay retail. I am a frequent user of CL and I am always looking for a deal. I have found a great deal for a 220 gal setup and I am thinking of picking it up.

My question is how much more benefit is there in the extra 12" of the 265 gal? I'm looking to stock it with some Cichla (Peacock Bass) and an Irwini cat or two.Since the height and width are the same is the extra length a huge deal? Would you wait for a 265 gal or take the deal and get the 220 gal? Figured you all could enlighten me and give me some guidance. Thanks for the help.
