I am new here. It's my first post and I just want to introduce myself. My name is Rick. I am 61 years old and haven't had an aquarium for over 20 years. Things have changed a lot since my days of fish keeping. We didn't know about the nitrogen cycle then. We just bought a tank , added water and removed chorline, put some subtrate in and some fake plants and added fish immediatley. I have now a 72 gal. bow front tank and I made the same mistakes. I learned the hard way and finally talked to some people that advised me of the cycle. I now have the proper test kit and my tank is now cycled. I hope everyone here can help me with any further problems in the future. I am sure I will have some and will count on your experiences to get me through . My 7 year old grandson is actually responsible for getting me back into this hobby as he started a small 10 gal tank and peaked my interrest again. Now we are constantly talking fish
and visiting LFS together often. Hope to get to know some of you soon.
