Just a short intro. I have been a fish keeper off and on for 30 years. Never anything fancy just community tanks. Now that I am older, kids are gone and graduated from college I have begun to get a bit more serious about fish keeping. My current setups are a 75 gallon with 1 red shouldered severum and a beautiful red faced severum along with 4 young clown loaches, 2 silver dollars , and a mix of tetras and cory cats. I know I should have more silver dollars but we have had these 2 for over 8 years and they are the only survivors of a broken tank that happened a few years back. I really don't want a school of them but can't bare to part with them and they seem happy enough getting the red faced to try and chase them around the tank with little success. Second tank is a 125 gallon discus tank with 8 discus 4" - 6" in size, a small shoal of cory cats, two small schools of tetras, and a young arowana aprox 8" in size. Yes I know an arowana with discus, crazy right? So far they get along fine as the aro was very small when I introduced it tho I think my tetra schools have decreased in size by a couple of numbers. The aro is what has brought me here as my future tank is going to be a 180 gallon monster type of set up which the aro will move to. I also have a young ornate bichir that is currently residing in my 30 gal long quarantine tank as he is a very recent purchase he will also move to the 180. So thats it and I will hopefully get some pics up to share in the future.
