Hello can anyone tell me if these are both male? Green Severums

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They both appear to be male. Do you see the red lines on the cheeks, around the eye and mouth area? Females wouldn't normally have these lines. They tend to have solid colored faces while males will show this worming pattern on the cheeks, over the bridge if the nose, and sometimes on the gill plates.

agree with this. also I was told that the dorsal fin on males extends out inline with the tail fin but doesn't on females. Is this correct?

It's not 100%. Sometimes dominant females will develop long streamers on the dorsal and anal fins. I thought one of my notatus was male due to its fins until she spawned and laid eggs.
