Hi all my name is David and as you most likely guessed i am new here, referred by my lfs.I currently have 3 tanks. A 55 gallon it is home to my 4 blood parrot cichlids and 1 sun catfish , an 80 gallon i will be setting up in 2 wks payday when I will move all to my 80 leaving with a 55 and a 35 to restock. anyone have any ideas i do prefer the not so common fish that not everyone keeps. what to restock depends entirely on what you're into, your budget and whether or not you will be able to give them bigger homes. best thing i can say for the moment is when you find a fish you are interested in, make sure you research on the fish and their growth rates. for example, don't buy a red tail catfish if you don't have plans on getting bigger setups
one thing my brother used to do, which may be an option is buy silver aros and redtail catfishes, grow them out and bring them back to other stores that will trade them for other fish or give credit. it worked out
