My name is John and I am orginally from San Antonio TX. I'm currently in the ARMY and stationed at FT Hood TX. Yes the place where that wako shot up a while back. Anyways, I have always been a fish lover due to my dad having 3 tanks when I was growing up. We had 4 oscars in a 150, 4 discus in a 55 and my "junk" fish (as dad called them) in a 30. When I say junk fish I mean common fish, ie swordtails, guppies, neons and pretty much anything you get at walmart now adays. I also had a 5 gallon long betta breeding tank that I successfully bred bettas and sold them to local neighbors between the ages of 11-15. Fast forward to now, I currently have 2 tanks. 1 100G with 2 largs oscars and 1 55G that will see discus sooner or later......Lately after searching craigslist and visiting petsmart/co on a weekly basis I've gotten a strong urge to attempt to open my own PS. Seeing people pay for items that are 2, even 3 times over retail makes my stomach turn but also turns on a light bulb in my head. I know it will take a fair amount of money and countless hours not to mention equipment to get it started. But if anyone on here has started their own PS please PM me so I can touch basis on having a ball park figure and get a good grip on this dream......
