I'm kinda new to the piranha game but gotta say I love it. I keep mine in a 55 gal. with a gar, 2 Jack Dempseys, and a Smallmouth Bass that got in there by accident. (with a batch of minnows I got out of the local creek) Been 6 months so far with all them in there. Seems if I keep them fed well enough they won't bother the others. But I'm expecting to find em chewed up one morning. Gar is in need of a new home soon.....if anyones interested feel free to email me. Just getting too big, and I don't have the cash to upgrade the tank right now.

Be cautious with having other fish mixed with the p's. This has resulted in heartbreak for quite a few other members here.

hi dude, florida gar and alligator gar are to separate species. Florida gar can get about 130cm and the. alligator can hit about 8-10'
