Hello there fellow fishkeepers,ive been on here before but only as a guest,thought it was about time i signed up

recently ,my fiancee liz and i moved house and we set up the new discus tank which is a 4.5 ft x 2ft x 2ft.

The discus were in our old tank which is a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft which is now home to two gars,which we were told by whaarf aquatics are florida gars and would expect them to reach about 18"max,they are currently about 6.5" ,is this correct or have we got to take them back because this will be there tank for life.Im not sure if i can put pics on for you guys and gals to confirm this,but il try also going in the tank will be an rtg arowana and some geos.

Hi

I'm from the Midlands too,although I'm in the West,nice to see someone relatively local.

Wharf are usually pretty reliable with their advice in my experience,but I don't know about Gars myself so can't help there,I'm sure someone else will.

Hopefully if you post a picture you'll get some advice.

its nice to know there is a few people on here who are relatively local.

Ive got the answer in my other post, seems like wharf were as correct as they could have been as i expected,cant wait to see the little things grow
