Hello Everyone! My stepson brought me 5 baby catfish from Big Bear lake so I figure this is the place to get to know more about them. I put them in my 50 gallon community tank but unfortunately I know I'll have to get rid of them soon since they are growing very rapidly for my fish tank and I 'm beginning to notice fish are missing.

I'm not sure about this species but someone on here will. You are going to have to provide more information. Pics would be great. You came to the right place. I'm also not sure about your area but in a lot of areas it's illegal to keep certain native species and/or game fish. I wouldn't be real concerned with it just don't advertise on the side of your house that you have them. A good thing to remember is that if one fish can fit inside another fish's mouth.........it will. Welcome to MFK

:welcome:to MFK! either get rid of some, or get a bigger tank:naughty::naughty:!!

I live in San Bernardino Ca. located in southern California. I hope it's not illegal to have Catfish at my home but I couldn't let them die so I just put them with my other tropical fish. Here are some pictures I attached hope someone can identify what kind of cats I have. I'm not sure if they're channel.
