I joined this site because its an amazing place! So to start of, I have 3 fish tanks: 2 10g, and 1 75g. I recently became obsessed with fish keeping when last year I purchased two mystery snails and 3 tiger barbs. The tiger barbs have died, but you would not believe how big the snails are!!:headbang2 The "small" one is two inches, and my largest one is at least 3. I love these snails! Anyway, I have yet to find anyone else who has kept mystery snails alive for longer and grown them bigger. I keep them in a 10g with 1 dwarf gourami who I plan on moving. In the other 10g, I have one goldfish. I bought him last year for 12 cents, and my has he grown! He is about 4 inches now. I have been trying to sell him, but seeing as he's just a goldfish no one wants him.
Just the other day I purchased the fish of my dreams: a red-bellied Pacu. I named him Po and I placed him in a 75g. Currently he is by himself, but I have been researching other fish that he would be fine with. Any ideas?
Anyway, just thought I would tell you guys about my tank hobby!

welcome to MFK.. wait until everyone here hears about your monster snails..that is so cool... i hope you know what your future entails with your pacu... my favorite fish in the whole wide world too.. but they grow huge and fast..i mean really fast... so start saving for a big tank soon.. and for now give him lots of chewy veggies like tiny pieces of carrots and zucchini.. and small algie wafers.. then as he gets bigger increase the size to his mouth size... welcome again... here is a link to some pacu information.. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...394031-can-i-get-tank-size-for-red-belly-pacu

Welcome :) first off, a pacu is too small for a 75 g. If all u have is a 75 gallon and you think that is your max, try getting some discus or small fish. Sicklids maybe? You would be surprised on how big peoples tanks are here and how big they're fish are :) u will love it my biggest tank right know is a 250 gallon tank. I also have kept some mystery snails and they had grown a ton like yours but passed away a long time ago. Hope to u active and happy fish keeping :)
