Hi

Firstly, I would like to say thanks to the staff for setting up this site, (I have learnt quite a bit already!)

I am currently using a Fuji Finepix s602 Zoom (6mp) which I bought 2 years ago, I was quite happy with it until recently when I used one of my girlfriends Cannon 10D's.

I have taken a "few" shots of my fish and aquaria over the last two years and have put some on a website that is still in progress. Please feel free to visit it and let me know what you think. All hints, tips and advice is/will be most greatfully received. I know nothing about photography whatsoever and have used the manual settings through trial and error. I am still chucking away far more photos than I am keeping and would like some solid advice on where to begin.

My site is http://www.hurstpointyachts.com/fish_home.htm

Thanks in advance for your advice.

welcome to APF tristan. we're glad to have you. nice site you've got going there. this place is full of people willing to help you along with your photography, so don't be shy :)

Thanks Hir0

OK I won't be shy, I am going to put some photos up for critique etc as you are only gonna learn if you listen to what others are going to say.

Tristan :)

Yes I do it is my sisters fish, here is a version that is reduced to 640 pixels.

I am a bit p****d off with the flash washout on the fish, but this has been discussed on another thread. I only have a basic camera and no extra flashes, at the moment.

My sister calles him Mr snappy, for obvious resons, naming fish must be a girl thing

What a beauty. I dont see any cool gars around here for sale. They are so awesome. That spotted is a hot looking fish, and a great pic.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one using a Fuji camera. I too am new to this forum, but I like you pics very much. I still have a lot to learn myself. And I can tell by the thread that I need to update software even if the hardware is limited.
